Senior Rottie - Needs New Home

Help "Invisible Dogs"
I know this is a shot in the dark but I'm taking it anyway...

(When I spoke to the owner and agreed to help he broke down in tears. His son is currently in Iraq and his wife walked out on him, it was quite a shock to be told that now he was killing his own faithful dog.)

Please meet Mac, he's a 10 year old Rottie boy that has lived with the same family his entire life. The kids are grown and out of the house and now the parents are divorcing. Unfortunately for Mac neither one can take him.

Mac's human dad took him to the Anne Arundel ASPCA only to find out that due to his age they would euthanize him, as he is deemed unadoptable, when his dad found that out they gave him 24 hours to try to find somewhere for him. That's when he found me and returned to pick Mac up, we have until the 10th of January to find this senior guy a home.

Mac is house and crate trained and loves people, he went straight up to the workers at the ASPCA and gave them kisses. He is current on his shots but I do not think he is neutered (I'm going to check with the vet to see if that will be a problem). He is supposedly healthy (per owner).

Mack hasn't lived with other animals but has been boarded without any problems (again, I'm going to follow up on that as soon as I get the contact info).

Please forward and let's see if we can get Mac into a final loving home for however much longer he may have. I will help/arrange transport.

This dog is currently living in Annapolis.

At 10 years old this dog is close to the end of his life (especially for a large dog), so I'm really hoping we can find that "special" home that can love him for however long he has.

Rocky Mountain High!!
can you get the name of his breeder? the breeder can't help if he doesn't know about the situation, and sometimes people are too embarrassed to ask them for help.

No news yet, but at least there's been some interest. He also "thinks" the breeder is no longer breeding but is supposed to check with them. I'm waiting on his return phone call.

Doesnt' matter if the breeder is no longer breeding....the breeder DID breed. That's what matters.
