PGPD September Death Investigation in Bladensburg Ruled Homicide

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who killed a man found deceased at a Bladensburg park in September. The victim is 55-year-old Ricardo Ramos Andrade of Colmar Manor. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On September 25, 2024, at approximately 6:35 am, officers with Maryland-National Capital Park Police responded to a park in the 4600 block of Annapolis Road for the report of an unresponsive man. The victim, Ramos Andrade, was pronounced dead on the scene. The PGPD Homicide Unit was notified and assumed the investigation.

On November 22, 2024, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the victim’s cause of death as blunt force trauma and the manner of death a homicide.

The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides that occur in Maryland-National Capital Park Police jurisdiction.
