Patuxent is 35th of 221 ranked high schools in the state. Calvert is the highest ranked school district in the state. You are being a bit of a drama queen, making it sound like Patuxent is some sort of crappy school.
I am not surprised that Calvert County Public Schools is the highest ranked school district in the state. That is good about Patuxent too; I am sorry if I unintentionally gave the impression that I thought it was a crappy school. It just frustrates me that my wife and I left Charles County several years ago to get away from the same kind of stuff, and now it seems like it is coming to Calvert County. Similarly, my parents left PG County for Charles County several decades ago to get away from the same thing, and we all saw what happen to Charles County. It's like people move in, tax revenues for the county go up, commissioners get friendly with developers, subsidized big businesses move in (e.g. Wal-Mart), rental communities move in, SUBSIDIZED rental communities move in, subsidized transportation moves in...after that forget it...the community is trashed and "flight" has begun.
