Might be from toads if its a little poopie. Say about 3/4 to an inch long?
I have a few in my garage.

Depends on what kind of snake and how big it is. Generally its brown, kind of like a very small human turd, but it will be kinda smooth. Also may have white crusty stuff near it (get yer minds outta the gutter!) which is known as urates, or snake piss. I think it would be pretty hard to distinguish between a snake turd or a small animal though. Send me a sample and I will do some testing....
