In the past month or so my cat has picked up a quite unnerving habit. He's developed a certain fondness for throw blankets and will knead, bite, and hump them whenever the mood should strike (which is basically whenever a throw blanket is in sight). I know the easy button solution is to hide or get rid of the offending blankets, but I'm kind of worried that he'd just replace them with something even more inappropriate. Is this a phase that he'll grow out of, or do I just have a humping cat now?

I can't believe I even had to type those words. What a life. :roflmao:

No cat nip, he was neutered almost 2 years ago when he was a kitten, and he's deaf so he doesn't go outside and therefore isn't exposed to other cats.

He's anything but lazy. I keep waiting for him to slow down a bit, but he continues to run and jump and play like a young'n. :lol:

I think it would be a cool party trick. When the guests are over, bring out his favorite blankie and let him go at it! :lol:

I lived with my grandparents for a few months while I was 19/20. Any guy that I dated had to meet my grandfather's approval. His lab-mix had a hump mat. My grandfather pulled it out to see how the guys would react. :ohwell:

This is nothing. We had a male Persian cat that use to drag around and hump our kids' stuffed, toy monkey.
