Sheriff Tim Cameron, Capt. Steven Hall and Deputy Benjamin Luffey​

Sheriff Tim Cameron, Capt. Steven Hall, Commander of the Special Operations Division, Sgt. Shawn Moses and Deputy Benjamin Luffey responded on Monday, March 2, 2020, to a vehicle on fire. The Ford Explorer was traveling northbound on Route 5 in Leonardtown when officers spotted the vehicle spitting out flames from the rear of the vehicle.

The driver pulled off of the highway at the entrance to Clark's Rest in Leonardtown, followed by St. Mary's County Sheriff's deputies. With assistance of the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department, the fire was quickly extinguished.

The driver was not injured.
