California's high court lets domestic partner law stand.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The California Supreme Court on Wednesday let stand a new law granting registered domestic partners many of the same rights and protections available to married couples, giving the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender population an important legal victory.
Without comment, the justices unanimously declined to review lower-court rulings that said the law does not conflict with a voter-approved measure against gay marriage.

So the California Supreme Court let stand a California law that grants same-sex couples all the legal rights they had before all this rigamarole started in the first place. Sounds like the straights should be happy. But you KNOW the activists won't be.
Activists never are, on either side.
