PGPD Shooting Victim Dies of Injuries

Detectives with our Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation into a shooting that took place on Thursday night. The victim, 20-year-old Darion Gripper of Bowie, died on Friday. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On June 11th, at approximately 11:30 pm, patrol officers were called to Central Avenue and Kettering Drive for a single-vehicle collision. Once on scene, emergency personnel discovered that Gripper, the driver, was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive.
