PGPD Shooting Victim Dies of Injuries

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation into a shooting that occurred earlier this month in the Suitland area. The victim is 25-year-old Tyrik Watts of the Suitland area.

On November 8, 2021, at approximately 2:40 pm, patrol officers responded to the 5700 block of East Place. The victim was located outside of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died of his injuries on November 20, 2021.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive in this case.
