A Giant grocery chain location in Northeast Washington, D.C. — roughly one mile from the United States Capitol — was among the latest to be hit by apparently brazen thieves who quickly yet calmly empty shelves into carts and plastic bags before apparently making their way through the door without paying.

The usual suspects....

And they're the smart ones because they've pretty much been given express permission to take what they want, so why wouldn't they? It's us dummies who insist on paying for things that need to be slapped upside the head.

It's like in Dallas and other cities where the citizens have been given permission to take what they want up to a certain dollar amount - why is anyone paying for anything? They're like, "Here, take this - it's free" and we're all, "No no, I insist on paying for it!"
