A mistrials, if it is by 1 juror, majority rules. It costs way too much money to try people 4 or 5 times and keep turing up mistrials by 1 juror. I keep thinking about an episode of The Simpsons where Homer was enjoying the life at his hotel, free food, etc. so he decided to vote in oppositte of the jury.

I just think it's beyond stupid to try a person who is clearly guilty more than once (never the less three or four times) because of 1 juror.

Anybody who reads this should make an attempt to watch the MSNBC TV show "Crime & Punishment." This really gives a fantastic perspective of how these trials are tried on the prosecution side. It airs ffrequently on the MSNBC Doc-Block.

Ok. Also, I don't think the prosecution or defense should have a say in jury selection. I think it should be solely up to the judge to determine juror competence/impartiality.
