Should I Wait for Windows 8?

I'm in need of a new laptop. Should I wait for Windows 8 to come out in late October, or stay with Windows 7?

If you really want Win 8, find a laptop that is offering a free upgrade to Win 8 from Win 7. They always do that a few months before the release date.

If I remember right, it took around a year for Windows 7 SP 1 to come out.

Buy what you want now w/ Win7. It will most likely come with a Win8 upgrade voucher of some sort. I bought a new laptop in July and got a voucher to upgrade to Win8 for $14 when it comes out.
