I found out today that she's aware that my brother changed the lock to keep me out and she was okay with it. She's lived there close to 50 years now and I've been coming back home for at least that long. Do you have any idea how humiliating it feels to have to knock on your parent's front door to gain entrance? They haven't even known where the key to their front door I'll bet for 40 years or better. Door has always been unlocked - even when they were off on vacation and no one else was living there.
My dad would be furious.
