We took our little boy up to Tidewater last night and he's getting clipped today....I felt sooooo bad leaving him there last night....He looked at me with his big sad eyes when I put him in the crate....I guess I'd be sad too if I were getting my "dodads" clipped.... :lmao:

They don't rip, they very neatly use sharp instruments...

I normally refuse the pain treatment during the surgery (after all they are asleep), but I accept the after surgery pain stuff. I just had one male done and he is going to have to go back for another tuck (butt head) and one female, she's acting fine and want's to go play...

Next week 2 more girls...

Best thing you could do unix... :flowers:

BTW your mail down again?

Can someone explain to me why they feel their dog will miss their testicles/uterus? I really don't think dogs think that way. I doubt they're thinking, "Gee, I really miss having my testicles....I feel so girly this way." Don't think females realize they're missing parts either.

Just a question...why are the dogs being dropped off the night before to spend the night at the vets? For all of my dogs and cats, they were brought in the morning of the surgery and picked up later the same day. Seems this would be more stressful for the animal. Is this something that Tidewater does (I see both dogs are going there) or do other vets require the same thing?

I think it's a "guy" thing.... They just look in the mirror and try to imagine it... :lmao:

I just hate the healing time... they don't know why they hurt and have to quit playing w/their friends....

My vet always lets me bring my guys home the same day of surgery. We do have to drop them off the night before because our vet doesn't open prior to 8 a.m. I also think letting the dogs/cats go home the same day of surgery depends on the owner...if the vet thinks the owner will know what to watch for, etc.

I HATE dropping them the night before but they don't open till 9:00 a.m. and since I have to be at work at 7:30.... my boss is only "so" understanding about my animal commitments.... But they do come home the day of surgery.

We had the option to bring him up the night before or the same day..We just decided to do it the night before....Had to have him there like 7AM....Could have done it eithger way...Probably would have less stressful on us.. :lmao:

I just hate to see them in pain.....I don't think he's worried about having his dodads clipped...At his age, he just thought they were something to lick on anyways...He didn't know what they were even there for.... :lmao:
