Where in the hell have the parents been during the past 13 years?! Obviously not spending time raising their children.

All of the children will be permanently scarred. And who knows if the cycle may continue with more children when the victimized children from this case get older.

Good lord! And only 13, too!

There was this kid, 13 or 14, that used to come into the sub shop where I worked and hang out, play Space Invaders and be a pest in general. Decent enough kid (so I thought). I come into work one evening and my co-worker is like, "OMG! Did you hear about Dearle???"

Seems our young friend beat an old woman to death with a pipe and was sitting in juvie, waiting to see what would be done with him. I can't remember what happened to him - I know he was found guilty, but don't remember what kind of sentence he got.

She was shocked and humiliated, but I never got the sense that she felt bad for anyone but her own son and her family. He got put in juvvie and she was told he would likely be there until he was 18. All she seemed to worry about was if he was doing good in his therapy sessions so he could get out sooner. The whole time I was thinking he should stay in there until he rots. I'm sorry, but the kid was trouble all the time and the mom was a FLAKE!

I have an aunt like that, son has been arrested many times for DWI and even got popped once by BATF for hunting deer with a SKS. She acts like the system is out to get her son. Even the time he drove drunk into the side of a police cruiser, she wanted to know why the cop was sitting on the side of the road with no lights on.

People are kooky. A friend of mine, her teenage nephew killed a woman and she was all gung-ho to get him the best defense possible, yadda yadda. We're like, Michelle, he KILLED a woman!!!! And it's not like there was any doubt - he was caught red-handed and even admitted it.
