My daughter woke up at 2 am throwing up and has a 103 fever. Didnt know if there was something lovely going around.

We've gotten notes from youngest's preschool twice this week with confirmed cases of strep throat and Fifths Diease. Knock on wood, my family has been spared from this so far. Hope your little one feels better soon.

Seen quite a bit of all of this at work the past couple of weeks. Strep has been really bad. Not to mention all the lovely spring time issues, poison ivy, tick bites and broken bones.

Lovely. She isnt in pre-school yet- however the little girl I nanny for is in preschool. So whatever it is, could have been picked up by contact.
She has a fever right now- and vomiting about 1 time every 45 minutes. Got pedialite and gatorade going. Sigh. I hate seeing her sick. Right now- she is sleeping on the living room floor- Dunno how long she will be down.

My family was never more sick than when my oldest was in preschool. He seemed to bring home everything!!! We've been real lucky this time with the youngest. Only a few more weeks and school will be over. I hope we can hold out and stay healthy!!

It laid me out for a day and a half, had my wife and youngest down yesterday. It's nasty but it's quick.

Hope she feels better soon but if I were you I'd get her to a Dr. soon...Right now with all this swine flu stuff happening, you can't be too safe...

she has kept fluids down- since 4am! Big improvement!
Her fever is responding well to meds and cool packs! 
And as far as the swine flu- I know its a crazy thing- however, it is a strain of the flu- and I have all precautions taken. If she needs to be taken in- I will do so.

Well that sucks emma!
I am watching her for signs now. She slept till 9:45... woke up and popped right up and said "mommy I feel good now". I asked her how her belly was- and she said "I frowed up but not no more". After I explained she couldnt go out and play- she said "But I all better". Poor thing!

Sounds exactly like what I had. Keep pumping fluids to re hydrate her. I lost 4 lbs on Wednesday and had a skull crushing headache most of yesterday from dehydration.
Glad to hear the little one is feeling better, just keep an eye on yourself now.

My son isnt in pre-school either, Grandma watches him and last week he had a double ear infection and strep. We took him to the Day out With THomas adventure in Baltimore sunday and by monday he was showing signs so I am pretty sure that is where he picked it up. Got a good dose of antibotics and he is back to his normal self! Hope your baby is feeling better soon!

Poor baby.... I had it Wednesday night. No fever but sick from all orifices. I was fine by noon yesterday.

She wore herself out today. She kept saying "I feel better mama". Kept her down as much as possible for a 3 year old. Very low key day. No running and jumping- just hangin out..
Fever has been broken for the last 6 hours. So I think we are on the home stretch. As I said- I will see what tonight brings- because night time always brings another round it seems.

aww thats good to hear she is doing better. When kids are sick and you cannot do anything for them is the hardest thing in the world. Hopefully whatever this is will be in and out quick!
