Matthew 4:18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
Two sets of brothers.... that's who He started with. Now Simon called Peter.... is that St. Peter?????

Yes, it is.
The Rock upon which Jesus based his Church.
Paul was an interloper and brought in the Roman influences one still sees in the hierarchy of the Catholic Church.

Jesus was a Jew, and was trying to reform Judaism, NOT trying to found another religion.

There is some indication that James was Jesus's brother.

The James mentioned here is not the brother of Jesus. Jesus did have a brother named James.... but he doesn't get into the story until later. This James is one of the Zebedee brothers.... with the ambitious mom who wanted Jesus to make her boys a big deal.

Interloper... what a good description of Paul.
