Since everyone has such great suggestions for names...

I'm having my first child this summer and we have picked out a girl and boy name, not sure what sex yet.

Girl: Ashley Ann
Boy: Dayton Csomething for a middle name.

Boy name must have the initials DCH, husbands side of the family thing. The family is fairly large already, not many boy D names left. D names that have already been used include: Daniel, David, Darrin, Doug, Dustin, Devon, Dylan, and Drake. Husband doesn't want to name the baby Derrick (which I like) either because he has a friend named Derrick. Neither of us is fond of Dominic, Damien, Donald, or Demetrius.

Girl name must have Ann for the middle name, my mom's only request.

I really like Ashley, I've never known an Ashley personally and I don't know anyone with a child named Ashley, but I'm open to other ideas.

So have at it, let me know what ideas you have!

TIA

Dominic is a great name. You can call him Nick for short. I'm at a loss for girl names. Don't even like my own.

I have always like the name Dakota for a boy or girl

I heard somewhere the other day that a mother was going to name her little girl Dakota and I really thought that would be a great name for a boy too. I'll have to run it by the husband and see what he thinks. Thanks!

Would he use a different spelling of Derrick....such as Derek?

No, he said he can't see naming his child a name that one of his friend's already has, no matter the spelling.

Dakota would be a good name too.

Too bad Drake has been used already. Do you have a Donovan too?

You could always call him Cody for a nickname... get away from the D's
Or I like Delilah or Sierra for a girls name... just a suggestion

No Donovan yet, I'm not sure how much I like it, I'll have to think about it for awhile and see if it grows on me.

I really like Craig for a middle name, and it sounds nice with Dayton. I'll definately run that by the husband, thanks for the input.

I only know one Dakota and it's a boy. I love that name. He's a real jock type and his name fits him perfectly IMO.
