SIncere ISP question

So, the family and I are moving to C.R.E. area.

Since we are fairly new to Calvert Cnty in general, is Comcast the ONLY ? choice we have in internet/cable modem?

Have tried recently to catch up N read complaints vs goodies about the cable/ISP situation over there In C.R.E.
Was hoping Verizon was up n running over there for internet access...NOPE. :boo: :cussing:

Anyone in C.R.E. have a solution as to being able to get a good tv selection ( GiMP sucks more air than a hoover vaccuum on good behavior, and we dont want to repeat subscribing to cable programming *insert LAME sign here* like GiMP). Although the only reason we had GiMP was for the internet access, as we hate Dial up connect.

Any suggestions?
I might have to resort to sitting on my new front porch swing, and counting the 3 cars in a year that might drive past our new house, and sending telepathic emails to friends n family... and we all know how THAT works..LOL

Thanks in advance.

Where's that thread?

I'm in CRE and have Comcast cableTV/internet.

No major problems with Comcast here. On a rare occasion it goes out but it's not that often. It's frustrating when a problem arises and you get a tech who doesn't know squat, but it's been a long time since that's happened. Another time, I think our modem died but we got a new one.

If that's the case, then you are in a good location. There's tons of wildlife to observe and few cars where I'm at too. :yay:

If you don't want Comcast there's always DirecTV, we have that too. I think they have internet available also.
