Redskins fans want to bring this season to a GLORIOUS CONCLUSION. Therefore, a petition has been set up for fans to sign requesting that there be a Victory Parade for the Redskins in downtown Washington whenever their season ends. Supporters say that the death of Sean Taylor was traumatic for the team and the fans. The parade gives fans an opportunity to say Thank-you to their beloved team for fighting on in spite of the obstacles and honor Sean Taylor’s memory. Our web address is Hail to the Redskins Victory Parade Petition : [ powered by iPetitions.com ].

In order to dramatize their cause, some Redskins fans will be at the Metro Center Subway stop, 12th and F Streets NW from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Friday, January 4, requesting Redskins fans sign the petition that will be forwarded to team owner Daniel Snyder.

WE WOULD BE HONORED IF YOU POSTED OUR WEB ADDRESS ON YOUR WEBSITES. SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE PETITION. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS.

THE PETITION TO MR. SNYDER

Dear Mr. Snyder

We, the undersigned loyal Redskins fans, do humbly request that the Redskins organization sponsor a Victory Parade for our beloved Redskins team even if they don’t make the playoffs this year.

The death of Sean Taylor’s was traumatic to players and fans. However, the players have fought back valiantly in Taylor’s honor in their noble quest to make the playoffs. No other team in the NFL has had to endure the pain and misery that this team has during this past season.

Such and event would give fans a true opportunity to salute them for their courage and dedication. This team has been victorious over discouragement, doubt, and despair. Their resilience has been an inspiration to the entire Washington metropolitan area.

A downtown victory parade featuring bands from around the metropolitan area is most appropriate at this time. Let’s make it happen if they do not go to the Super Bowl. Hail to the Redskins. Now and Forever!!!!

We this is pretty stupid! So let me get this right throw a parade even if they don't win the Super Bowl? What's the point?

They haven't won anything, except a berth in the playoffs. At least let them win ONE playoff game.

Personally, I'd rather wait until they beat the Seahawks, the Cowboys, the Packers, and the Patriots.

...gets a trophy! No keeping score! Job well done all around! Break out the champagne for a 9-8 season and a round one bounce from the playoffs!
