The news reports have been pouring in by the hundreds regarding these persecuted Christians, but the meaning of that word has been lost in the shuffle. I am not denying or insisting that there are no true believers among those who are being slaughtered, starved and inhumanely raped and abused. What I am saying is that we, as worshipers of the One, True Lord have allowed our God-given sense of human justice to run ahead of the truth. We are crying out – no, demanding – that these “fellow believers” be assisted. We are urging one another to remember them as bound with them. But they are not fellow believers.
