Is anyone using a Slingbox Pro or Slingbox Solo?

If so, wondering how they are working. Decent enough picture to push the broadcast back from the computer to a 47 or 52 inch TV/Monitor?

Best Buy carries it and I was thinking about giving it a try.

Thanks!

Why would you want to send TV signal from your PC to your TV? Wouldn't you want to stream channels to your PC via TV?

I've never really played with one before. The thing is the Slingbox sends the feed through the Internet and that's how PC's would view your shows. I'm not sure how a television would interact with a Slingbox since the TV is now the output.

The slingbox allows you to watch and control your home CATV/DVR with the help of Slingbox software installed on the remote PC. Keep in mind that when you are watching the slingbox, you will be changing the channel on the CATV box you have it hooked to at home. If someone @ home is watching and they change the channel, your channel will change also.

The picture is decent enough...depends on your home upload speed and remote download speed.

I have a Slingbox Pro HD. The HD accessory only improves viewing within your home (wired or 802.11n) network. It will not improve viewing over the internet.

get 2 dishes and just move your receiver back and forth, better yet just get two receivers. the 2nd one will cost you $5 a month.
