If you want to play one ,you better get down there quick, they wont last long IMO.
I checked them out this weekend at Fred's Liquor, where they have turned their storage room into a slot room. Carpentry was going on all around the machines and no one seemed to be bothered . Too busy pushing the "play" button.
Roy Dyson has already tried to get the County to ban them ,if that fails he may be forced to come out in the open against them, instead of getting the County to do his dirty work for him.
These things have to be hurting the Lotto and Keno gambling that the state endorses.
As far as I know ,no permits have been issued No licenses, which if they stay will surely come. You can bet if they are allowed the Gubmint will have to get their cut.
The big money folks have been counting on getting slots at Horse Tracks and other places owned by Multi-millionaires and I am sure they have already invested in buying politicians for that purpose, Therefore these politicians cannot allow slots in St. Mary's.
Works for me....wondering if they could do something about the high heating costs with the money.......
However while it lasts some non-Profits in the County and some County owned Businesses are reaping the bounty, and getting some much needed funds. Some people who would gamble anyway are being saved the trip to Dover , and the money is going into the Community instead of to gas stations and Gambling halls in Delaware.
IMO the slots should have never left the Counties that had them years ago. I also would like to see the State stop beating around the bush and allow full fledged Casino's. It would bring a lot of jobs into the County and help lower some of the highest taxes of any state in America.
I picture a $5.00 Prime Rib Buffet at the St. Mary's landing, with shrimp appetiser.
cant wait. LMAO as if that would ever happen. Well it works for Vegas.
