Universal Sports and Academics Inc. in coordination with SMAC High School Football Coaches, proudly announces the establishment of the SMAC Football Coaches Association.
The objectives of the Association will be:
A. To cooperate in every possible way with the National Associations and
the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) in
the promotion of a broad and wholesome athletic program,
B. To assist in promoting pure and wholesome amateur interscholastic
athletics as a necessary and integral part of the educational experience
provided in the schools of Southern Maryland Athletic Conference (SMAC),
C. To promote harmonious administration of athletics in conference schools
of foster those relationships,
D. To help develop and maintain the highest possible standards in the game
of football and the coaching profession, and to work together for the
improvement of conditions in SMAC football,
E. To develop a better awareness and understanding of football coaching
problems then provide authoritative source information at the disposal of
coaches,
F. To promote good fellowship and social interactions among coaches,
G. To bring the latest of methods, procedures, techniques, and philosophies
of teaching football to members,
H. To promote and assist all student athletes through the recruiting process.
The associations website is currently in development. Membership and Meeting information will be posted in this forum, local printed and online newspapers and distributed through club presidents in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's Counties.
Membership is open to all Calvert, Charles and St, Mary's Counties Recreational and High School coaches.
