The Board of Education of St. Mary’s County on behalf of St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS) is requesting sealed bids from experienced and qualified Vendors for Internet Access service delivered via Leased Lit Fiber, and for the delivery of Wide Area Network (WAN) connections via Leased Lit Fiber and/or Leased Dark Fiber to the school system. Service is expected to originate at the district hub site and be delivered to the eligible service locations. All locations, with addresses and demarcation points, are listed in the attached pricing sheets. The new service is being planned to begin on July 1, 2019 which represents the expiration of the current leased WAN service.
The resulting contract will be awarded for a period of one (1) year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. SMCPS reserves the right to award the requirements of this bid in total or in part as it determines to be in the best interest of SMCPS. SMCPS reserves the right to make multiple awards.
