Does anyone know when Southern Maryland Hospital does the tours of their Labor and Delivery. I called the hospital today, but got transferred 3 times before ending up with someones voicemail. I left a message, but have no idea if it was even with the right person. :shrug: Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

I don't have an answer to your question, but if I was transferred that many times and still couldn't get a simple answer, that would be my sign to find another hospital.

My grandson was born at Southern Md in early January, he came as a early surprise 7 weeks early so for 2 weeks I was up there just about everyday. I saw one tour one evening I was there. The lady that does the tour has a small little office about the size of a closet right by the nursery I only saw her there a couple of times mostly in the afternoon so it appears she is not a fulltime employee, might try calling in the afternoon.

Not sure on the tours but I had my son there and I was VERY happy with the hospital and the staff in the L&D as well as the aftercare.

Yea I know its a little frustrating, but my only other choice is Civista, and I am not going there.

All of my family has had babies there, and were really happy about their choice. I think its a pretty good hospital. I will definately try calling again Monday afternoon. And I will ask for Mary Bair. Thanks so much for the info!!

Labor & Delivery # 301-475-6240 and Health Connections is the office outside of the hospital where they do the Classes and I believe you can call there for info on tours. Probably have to leave messsage but they usually get back to you quickly.
