Smoke Alarm, Help!

So this morning, after my hubby left for work, the downstairs smoke alarm started to beep. No problem, it's happened before. However, this morning, I took it down and the beeping kept coming from the hole in the ceiling where the detector is hardwired into the house. So the sound wasn't coming from the detector itself, it was still coming from the "hole" in the ceiling.

I checked every other detector in the house, and no beep.

What do I do?

do you have a carbon monoxide detector?
My mom had this same issue...we checked every smoke detector in the house and realized it was coming from the CM detector...the beep was bouncing throughout the house like ventriloquism...

I do, but the sound wasn't coming from that location. But I never thought about that.

That was it!!!!!! My husband and I always forget about the CM detector. We would have gone nuts all night trying to figure out where the sound was coming from. Might have even started ripping down dry wall:)

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're very welcome...
Now, if it has batteries, they need to be changed. That should reslove the issue...
