Non poisonous snakes ain't a big deal.
Teach your mutt to let you know when and where they are.
Hopefully your pup will be alright.

yes it is a big deal, sorry to hear about your pup. A buddy of mine got bit by a large black snake and went to the emergency room and they were worried about infection and also gave him a tetnus shot and antibiotics. Good luck, thank God it was not a copperhead

The vet said judging by the size of the bite it was a good size snake. They put her on new meds today, you can already tell she is feeling better.

You got to be $hit'in me.
A snake bite?
Clean it, like a good pet owner should.

Would you take your kid to the Emergency Room if it got bit by a black snake or any non poisonous snake?

Glad she is feeling better.

I am sure you are getting right on that advice from another forumite and are teaching your dog to let you "know when and where they are"-probably be a great idea to teach your dog to differentiate between poisonous and non poisonous snakes too since nonpoisonous ones "aint a big deal".:sarcasm

Poor fellow, I see that you are continually challenged, aren't you? Your ignorance and incorrect advice are a disservice to those who actually care about something. In fact, a child or anyone else for that matter, should be seen by a medical professional to ensure proper treatment to prevent possible bacterial infection. Do I need to explain to you what snakes eat and how bacterial infections may occur? Second thought, it would be a waste of my time as it would be over your empty head. Have a most pleasant day!
