Snakes on a Plane

John Stewart has been making fun of it for at least a month or two, and I just realized a couple weeks ago that it was a real movie. :lmao: Meanwhile, it sounds like the soundtrack might be pretty good (at least for me). :lmao:

It's not an all-out spoof the way the Scary Movie franchise is, but it's not a 100% serious horror film either. It's a comedy-horror mix paying homage to the cheesy creature feature genre. Internet horror fans have turned it into an event film by hyping it up for over a year now.

I'm seeing it Friday and will write a mini-review afterwards.

I heard a DJ give a review on this movie this morning...can't remember what station I was listening to 'cuz I cruise the airwaves for music, but happened across this. He said it was hilarious and went on and on about. I won't see it in the theatre, don't like theatre's, but I'll check it out when it's released on DVD.

Snakes On A Plane is an awesome comedy-horror hybrid. Yes, the plot is absurd and you have to leave your brain at the door, but if you're a fan of the genre, this is a blast. It's very intense (with stylish gore and rapid-fire action sequences) and often extremely funny. The movie demands to be seen with an audience (almost everyone clapped when Samuel L. Jackson yelled "I've had it with the motherf*cking snakes on this motherf*cking plane!") as it's the type of movie which wants you to scream, laugh, and yell at the screen. Overall, horror fans: this is a must-see. Recommended.

This is quite possibly his most entertaining performance since Pulp Fiction. He can't be beat when it comes to hamming it up while holding a hand cannon.

Despite deafening internet hype and better-than-expected reviews, Snakes On A Plane is a slight financial disappointment, just barely defeating Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby to top the box office top ten.

Too bad. This is a very fun, intense movie.
