it was funny at one time, but many dont remember the mid to late 70s

...and those that do remember 'back in the day' remember many a late night thinking 'what's the big deal?'. SNL, in my book, was funny maybe 1/2 the time and that's being generous.

What happened to Horatio Sands, Rachel Dratch, and Chris Parnell? I actually liked SNL better when they were on it. The best thing on there now is Amy Poehler and Andy Samburg. Who was the chick that sang on this past Saturday's show?

I heard the show underwent some budget cuts coming into this season and had to let some of the higher priced talent move on. Not sure where they all were headed to, if anywhere immediate.
