Damn global warming will be the death of us all!!!

BTW, wheres the record hurricane season?

Its in the minds of reporters and news anchors that have no buisness making scientific predictions... Weathermen can only guess about what the weather will do up to 10 days. Even then its still just a guess. Just like the theory of Global warming.

Ron Burgandy would never do such a thing, without proof.

What do you mean it is still just a guess? Is that similar to your guessing of the spelling of business and the correct usage of its versus it's?

I miss home.

But not that much, I like the Blondes house, she treats me well, except for that time the tall guy fed me hot wings and I had poo problems and she turned the hose on me. Other than that it is good.

NOT Politically Correct!!
I guess they can put together a Bob Sled team now...

They can practice initial take off's with police chasing them with sticks...

Like I said.....what happened?

I thought we were on a path to self destruction, as indicated by last years record sease and according to Tom Brokaw. Apparently, hurrincanes were a huge sign of this horrible global warming epidemic, but here it is early August and only two named storms...hmmmmm

And now its snowing in South Africa. Well I am sure the Al Gores and Tome Brokaws have a perfectly logical explination for this, it must be caused by global warming somehow or another right?

Wow who pissed in your cornflakes this morning..... Oh wait, since that was a question let me make sure I correct my spelling and grammer before I submit this... I wouldn't want you to have trouble reading my post

Wow, who pissed in your cornflakes this morning?.....

Predicting the weather is guessing, it may come true or it may not.!!!!!
They call for rain, it doesn't.
They call for no rain, and it does.
Same for snow.....

Weather is CONSTANTLY changing and there is a high degree of uncertainty in all weather data.

How many times have you cursed your local weather people because they didnt get it right?....

When was the last time you saw weather reports online past 10 days???

It is much more than just a guess. That's like saying when the police are making an arrest they are just guessing that that person did the crime.

An incredible amount of research has occurred in meteorology in the last 100 years, resulting in ever improving forecasts. Do you think that those "weathermen" just guessed that Katrina would strike Louisiana? Or that this week we would have near record highs?

Are you talking about a forecast or observations? Observations are fairly clear cut and there are varying degrees of uncertainty with forecasts.

Are you talking about the yahoo's on TV? Well the majority of them are just glorified broadcasters. Go to weather.gov or capitalweather.com to get a forecast with some scientific merit.

I'm very confused with this one....are you suggesting that forecasts should go out longer than 10 days? Or are you having trouble finding observations from 10 days ago?

And where did you hear that 2006 would be a record hurricane season?

The forecast that your tax dollars paid for indicated that there would be an 80% chance of an above normal season. The peak of hurricane season is not until mid September and we only need 13 named storms to be considered above normal. Tropical Storm Chris (which formed earlier this week) brings our total to three (NOT 2) so far for the season.
