Snow on top of cars

Not too talkative
I'll put myself out there and say I don't think it should be illegal. Sometimes it is unavoidable. Snow happens while you're at work with only an ice scraper, you're not getting the top of most cars, let alone SUVs or trucks. Do I think a lot of people should try way harder than they do? Yes. Ticket, no. Too many variables. Not having visibility from rear and front windows, yes, ticket.
Being considered a little bit verticaly challanged and having been stationed in Maine, i have always kept an ice scrapper/brush with a telescoping handle in the trunk/back of all my cars/suvs to ensure I am not that guy.

I cannot reach the top of my vehicle without a ladder. I could use something with a long handle to reach some if the roof, but not all.

I used an aluminum step ladder to clean off the top of 2 SUVs, but they were at home at the time, so it was handy.

I just give a few more carlengths between myself and anyone sporting a snow cap. I grumble to myself, but understand that not everyone sees it as a danger to other drivers.

My car has been parked in the driveway since Sunday. My husband knocked a lot of snow off of it but I will take a broom and try to knock the rest off. Our property is very shady but I will try to move it to a spot in the parking lot that gets some sun.

Last night, a friend told me her windshield wipers were stuck up and she couldn't get them down. My response was something to the effect of I wonder if it's like a man with an erection that just won't go down. My husband only heard my end of the conversation and said "Whaaat?" She said she got weird looks from other drivers...

Other drivers were actually paying attention!?

That's just crazy talk!

Also vertically challenged, but stationed in San Diego and Pt Mugu/China Lake. It does snow up there, occasionally. I forget how many WESTPACS and short cruises, workups and shakedowns I did, but it was a lot. All of the in the Pacific.

I used to think vertically challenged was having to ask Mooch to reach something on the top shelf at Walmart, but I've discovered in dating that for modern women, vertically challenged means you're less than 6 foot 4 inches tall.

Who knew?

Anyone making excuses for the POS folks out there driving with snow on their roof is absurd. Your failure to plan does not give you the right to put everyone else on the road in danger.

Well, I still maintain if you stay far enough back it shouldn’t be an issue. It’s going to hit the ground if you’re not following too close.

I’ve seen some huge sheets come off a tractor trailers and make a beautiful white explosion on the road.

Looks great from afar.
