I'm old. 56. So I have maybe 20 years left in me, give or take, under normal circumstances.

Young people as a group seem to want Socialism and anarchy (which is at direct odds with Socialism, but they don't seem to understand that). So why not let them have it? I mean, who cares? They and their children will have to live with the consequences, not me.

They hate the America their parents have built, so let them have a crack at it and they can make the country they will inherit. By the time it takes effect, most of us will be dead. So why fight to leave them something they don't want?

My thoughts exactly. I am 65, at this point I have maybe 15 years. Nothing they will do will be fully implemented until I am gone so F it and them. I'll not let it bother me but I will continue to point out the fallacies in their ideas.

Maybe its not THEM but YOU. You have forgotten what its like to be young when YOU questioned everything but knew nothing . The majority of them will come around in their later years after their socialistic views have been trampled on . There is still hope for the younger set many of which lead good productive lives and are good citizens despite the radical minority views of some of their contemporaries .

This has come about once again due to one LEO purposely murdering a subdued handcuffed offender while three other LEOs watched after being told by concerned bystanders and the offender himself that he couth not breath.

Demonstrations are fine we as Americans have that right. Property destruction is not ! Makes no difference if it is private or public.

And because of my generation we are accepting of integrated schools and gay relationships. Our parents were like, "WTF??" and we responded with, "You can't do that and we're not going to let you.

I served my country to preserve what my forefathers passed on to my generation it is now up to another generation to preserve what has been passed to them. You certainly be upset about what you see happening but every generation hates the changes they see. What exactly do you plan on doing to change things? Voting is your only option short of armed uprising. In what remains of your life I doubt you will gain enough supporters to make it happen.

Somehow the government comes up with money for everything else they want - why not GND and reparations and illegal immigration? Just borrow it from China like they usually do. When that bill comes due, I'll be long in the grave and it won't be my problem. And when the kids finally hit puberty and go, "Hey! Where my country go?" they can console themselves with some really killer Chinese takeout.

Doing it now will also mean a massive curtailment of MY freedoms until such a socialist dystopia appears. I already have a boss losing his chit over wearing a mask (he lives in PA). He refuses to wear one. And his arguments are sensible, but he is trying to persuade me to just flout the rules and not wear one either.

Honestly? He's kind of right. When you quarantine, you contain a disease by keeping the sick away from the healthy. That's they way it works. It's how it should always work - if you think you're sick, you should self-quarantine. We should NOT quarantine the entire nation for months until we can sort this out. When the sick and vulnerable are protected, the rest of us can move on - they're protected and we don't endanger them.

We've seen what kind of world socialists will impose on us. So no, I won't live my final twenty or so years left capitulating to that. Let them have it after I am gone. And I plan to live a long time.
