So any good recommendations for seal coating a driveway ?

I've used Copenhaver's a couple of times. They do a good job and are reasonably priced. Their big problem is communication. I contacted them last July about resealing our drive. They finally got back to me in August saying they would e-mail an estimate soon. I contacted them a couple more times asking where my estimate was, but never got a response.

Then, just for the hell of it, I contacted them again at the end of March. Still not a word back from them.

They must not need the work

Just a quick follow up. I never did hear anything back from Copenhavers. I went to SealPros and Paving and requested an estimate from them. Someone contacted me via e-mail and text, and eventually came to the house to evaluate the job. I wasn't home when the estimator was there, but he left the proposal on the front door. The proposal was written on a printed form with phone numbers crossed out and new numbers hand written. The company name on the form was different from what the e-mail signature contained, and neither one said anything about SealPros. But, the price was fair so i texted back and accepted the proposal. He said he would contact me in about three weeks. Four weeks went by without a word, so I e-mailed asking when we could expect to be scheduled. When he finally got back to me the next day, he started in with the upsell. He tells me he has a machine that reheats the asphalt and a roller that rolls a brick pattern into it. Then he could coat it with an asphalt paint to make it look like red or gray brick. I politely declined and stated that we simply wanted the black seal coat that we had agreed on. After a couple more unsuccessful tries to sell me on the fancy/schamncy, he finally asked if Wednesday (today) would be good to do the job. I agreed and asked what time he expected to start, to which he replied, about 9:00am. Great! Lets do it. So on Wednesday (today) at around 11:00 am, when he hadn't shown yet, I texted and asked when he would be here. The text conversation that followed was very disjointed and hard to track. I don't know if he was texting and driving, or English was not his first language, but he tried to make several excuses and said he would call later today or tomorrow to schedule our job. At this point I'd had my fill and told him to forget it. Cancel the job. He eventually got the picture.

I get the impression that SealPros doesn't actually have any employees. I think they are a general contractor that contracts the jobs out to small companies. That's fine, but they need to make sure these small companies follow through and can do the job. Otherwise, what's the point.

Just a few minutes ago, I called SOMD Paving. I actually spoke to a live human. They have us on the schedule for an estimate in a couple of weeks.

I have also used SOMD Paving in the past and was pleased with the results. All of my neighbors got theirs done after they did mine!
