Within 30 min. of Leesburg there are several interesting wineries, Tarara being one. It is a winery in a manmade cave and has delicious wines. There is Middleburg Winery with good snacks to go along with their wines and another winery that is in a barn that I cannot think of right now. It is on a dirt road with beautiful scenery.pvineswinger said:

I used to attend the Va. Wine Festival at The Plains...It finally grew too big and overcrowded but I have tasted Linganore and Horton and Grey Ghost and alot of other good, local, inexpensive wines. CHEERS! psst, we need a wine glass smilie!Mikeinsmd said:

I have been to Ingleside at least 25 times. Their barrel tastings are a blast when you bring a lunch and party..lol..And they free pour as opposed to a metered spout. I adore that place.RoseRed said:

Holy crap!!! I didn't know there were so many winos in here!!
I've been to the VA wine festival and I have to say it was MUCH better than the Sotterly wine fest. At Sotterly they gave out 15 tickets- so you had to pay for anything over 15 tastes. I only bought one bottle there- and bought 20+ bottles at the VA wine fest.
