hello, i'm still new to the forums but i have read on many occasions how there is not much of a choice for when it comes to choosing a pet sitter/dog walker for the southern calvert area. i could use some more money for college so i decided to start a part time business being a pet sitter for that particular area. i've been working with animals for a really long time, and have always owned many pets. i was wondering if my fellow forumites could spread the word. i have created an email for any questions/comments

socalvertpets@hotmail.com

i have also made a flyer with a phone number posted, which i can send.

thanks everyone.

sorry, i should have mentioned that i am not insured or bonded, yet. if i find i'm quite successful i would more than love to take the extra route of becoming bonded and insured. i'm just a college student who loves animals, i would like to see how things go.

You might talk to one of the area veterinarian services (we recommend Three Notch Vet) and see if they could put you on their staff of folks who provide pet care services.

On a couple of occasions we've asked Three Notch Vet to find us somebody who could tend our cats Bruce and Mercury http://www.geocities.com/ornerypest/mycats.html while we were gone, and they've always been able to refer us to somebody. Maybe they'll refer us to you next time!

She said southern calvert not stmarys county. Three notch doesn't put out your business cards for petsitting I already tried. Since you live in calvert try solomons vet clinic.

If you'd like more information on becoming insured and bonded, visit Pet Sitter's International at www.petsit.com. That's also a good place for those who are looking for pet sitters in your area who are insured and bonded. You can enter do a search by your zip code for Pet Sitters who are insured and bonded.

yup barb is right. I am a member and I put that on my cards it makes a big difference so I been told....I also put down that I specialize in giving animals medication too as I am able to do it due to having 2 medicated pets in my life plus I have one now. But if you have 0 experience I wouldn't put it down.

I will be in need of a pet sitter a few times a year. When I get moved in I would like to meet and interview you.

Thanks
