BURGLARY OF Git-R-Dunn Laundromat


On the evening of January 14, 2016, an unknown suspect burglarized the Git-R-Dunn Laundromat located in San Souci Plaza, California, Maryland. Detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division assumed the investigation.

Vandalism: Breton Bay: Dec. 2015

Sometime between December 11 and December 12, 2015, unknown suspect(s) damaged property in the Breton Bay community:

* The post to Paw Paw Hollow Lane at Bull Road and the road sign for Cooper Drive at Bull Road were broken.

* The sign at White Oak Road and Bull Road was pulled out of the ground.

* Swag decorations were placed on all three signs, and the decoration on the White Oak Road post was stolen.

Wanted: Joseph Sullivan

On December 26, 2015, suspect Joseph Sullivan failed to report to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, as part of a sentence ordered by District Court Judge K. Chesser. Sullivan had been found guilty of 4th Degree Burglary and sentenced on December 8, 2015, to serve 10 days of an 180 day sentence. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) have obtained a warrant for Sullivan's arrest charging him with Escape 2nd Degree and are requesting the public's assistance in locating him.

Shooting Investigation, Great Mills Rd

On December 6, 2015, at approximately 3:02 a.m., St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the area of Canopy Liquors in Lexington Park, in reference to a subject reporting they had been shot. Upon arrival deputies located the victim, Kevin Jerome Chase, age 45, outside of Canopy Liquors suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The subject was transported to Washington Hospital Center with non-life threatening injuries. The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division assumed the investigation.

Wallet Theft; California Walmart; Dec. 11, 2015

On Friday, December 11, 2015, between 2:30 and 3 P.M. the victim had her wallet taken from her cart while shopping at the Walmart store in California, Maryland. At 3:24 P.M. the suspect used the victim’s Bank of America credit card to purchase food items from the Food Lion store, located at 30290 Mt. Wolf Rd, Charlotte Hall. A short time later the suspect used the victim’s credit card again at BB Nails Spa on Triangle Drive in Charlotte Hall.

Unidentified Theft Suspect: Lexington Park Blimpies: Jan. 16

On Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 2:40 P.M, the suspect picked up a victim's wallet that was left on the register counter inside the Blimpie Sub Shop. The Blimpie is in the Sunoco gas station located at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Hermanville Road in Lexington Park, Md.

Sunday, 14-FEB: Possible hit and run

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible hit and run involving a pedestrian that occurred on Sunday, Feb. 14, around 2 a.m. in the area of Toots Bar, located on Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood.

As of 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16: the victim remains in critical condition at Prince George’s County Shock Trauma.

25-FEB: SHE HAS BEEN LOCATED...

Danielle Denise Jerell was reported missing on Feb. 20, 2016, from the Lexington Park area. We suspect she may be in the Lexington Park area, but is known to travel to Upper Marlboro, MD.

Jerell is an African American female, 30 years old, 121 lbs, 5'05" and has a tattoo on her neck that says "Rudolf."

ARRESTED... ESCAPE: Saeed Akhil Handon

07-MAR: Saeed Akhil Handon has been arrested.

Detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) are requesting the public's assistance in locating suspect Saeed Akhil Handon, age 20, of California, Md., who is currently wanted for 2nd Degree Escape stemming from his violation of pre-trial supervision conditions.

On March 1, 2016, Handon violated the conditions of his pre-trial release, as ordered by District Court Judge K. Chesser, by removing a GPS monitor device and fleeing his residence in California, MD. Handon had been released from the St. Mary's County Detention Center under the conditions following his arrest in December for multiple counts of theft, theft scheme, and rogue and vagabond.

Forgot to Pay for 50" TV

30-MARCH-2016: Police say the suspect has been identified and arrested. A name has not been released at this time.

On Friday, March 4, 2016, at 8:20 PM, the suspect walked out of the Walmart store, located at 45485 Miramar Way, in California, MD with a Samsung 50” UHD TV without paying for it. The suspect was last seen getting into what appeared to be a black Nissan Altima with New York plates driven by a second suspect.

Seeking Victims in Possible BB Gun Vandalism

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in identifying vandalism victims around MD Route 5 and Dyson's Lumber in Great Mills. In recent weeks, the Sheriff's Office has identified a suspected pattern of crime related to property destructions involving motor vehicles. Victims reported hearing a loud bang, similar to a gunshot, before their window was damaged by what appears to be a pellet from a BB gun.

WANTED: Delandre Bernard Rosier, 30, of Indian Head

Crime Solvers Offering Reward for Suspect who Sexually Assaulted a Child:

Charles County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the whereabouts of Delandre Bernard Rosier, 30, of Indian Head. A cash reward of up to $2000 is being offered for the tip that leads to his arrest.

Rosier has open warrants charging him with first-degree sex offense, second-degree sex offense, third-degree sex offense, sodomy, sexual assault of a minor, perverted practice, and child abuse relating to an incident that occurred in November 2015 involving a child who was in his care and custody. Officers assigned to the Warrant Unit have been searching for Rosier who has eluded arrest. Investigators believe friends and family have been helping Rosier avoid apprehension.

Rosier is 5’9”, 200 lbs., and goes by the nickname Dre. He does not have a car and is known to live at numerous addresses throughout the region. Anyone with information may contact Det. J.
