Despite it not being at the front of the news every day, I have never stopped reading the latest about the war, and if you blinked, you may not know that despite all the calls saying, sorry, Ukraine but you're finished -
They have REALLY beaten the hell out of the Russians the last couple weeks. They've more or less retaken Luhansk, one of two regions mostly occupied by Russians since before the conflict; they're this close to taking Kherson over by the Crimea - and they've pushed deep into the Donestk region.
Worse, in many parts of Ukraine, Russians are retreating fast enough, that one, Ukrainians are reclaiming land quickly and two, Russia has had to implement more efforts to stop retreaters and deserters. They're leaving enough equipment behind for the Ukrainians to use to move their lines.
One report I read said, Russia is withdrawing their subs back toward Russia from Crimean Kerch to Krasnodar.
Another reason to believe Russia is beginning to lose - Putin is trying to stir up referendums in regions sympathetic to Russia to see if they wish to JOIN Russia. You do something like that when you can't take it successfully by force.
