The Maryland State Police, Forestville Barrack will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint starting the evening of Friday, July 5, 2019.
The checkpoint will be within the guidelines under the “Checkpoint Strike force” initiative and the goal is to educate drivers of the dangers associated with drinking and driving. Specific locations for targeted enforcement are determined based on data associated with alcohol-related crashes and DUI arrest.
The Maryland State Police remind all citizens that if you plan on consuming alcoholic beverages, you should also plan on having a designated driver. We encourage everyone to obey all traffic laws to make our roads and highways safer for all travelers.
