Some People...Grr

I received this in my email today. I just can't believe some people.

Fluffy is a beautiful small, gray, long haired female cat. She is
spayed and declawed. She is very loving and would like to be the only
pet in the house. We have another cat that she gets along with, as
well as a grown dog and a puppy. We got the puppy after my beloved 14
year old dog passed away. We have had the puppy several months and she
can not tolerate the puppy at all. She will be a wonderful pet for
someone who can give her the time and attention she deserves.

If they have had the cat longer, why not get rid of the puppy?

Also, what is the cat doing that is intolerant of the puppy? Is she swatting at it when it wants to play? Is she remarking where the puppy messed in the house? Or has the kitten cuteness worn off and now they want to get rid of her?

Makes me sick.

I agree it makes me sick too...The puppy should go in my books. You are right the cat has been there longer.

They should both stay and perhaps the irresponsible pet owners should go.

They are ridiculous and irresponsible. Most of our cats think they should be the only cat, what should we do, have a lottery to see who stays and who goes! :lmao: What self-respecting cat doesn't swat a pup once in awhile? :howdy:

Exactly. Unless the cat is becoming Church from "Pet Sematary" and has become violent towards the other pets and humans, why not just find the new pup a new home? It would be a lot less traumatic for the young puppy to be moved rather than the cat who has probably spent most of its life with them.

You have to wonder about these pet owners because I put my girl Claudia above any desire to get a new kitten.

And what kind of dip#### names their cat Fluffy, anyway??

I wanna be a SMIB
Its alway been my experience that if one is a young one they will adjust. If all I have is adult cats, I introduce a puppy and shortly everyones getting along. Now my dog is an adult and I bring in kittens and in a while everyone is happy again.
