Thanks everyone! We have had a great time. Getting ready to head home today.
You get 100% of the credit! Of course, our friends that we went up to visit live about 8 minutes from there and took us on a guided tour!!!
The floating docks and gangways (not stairs) are located all over coastal Maine (at least where we were). They have extreme tides... More than 20 feet in some places!!!!! The marinas/harbors have either really tall piers with floating docks and gangways, or the boats just tie up to floating docks in the middle of the harbor and use dinghys to go back and forth to the shore. Way different than SOMD!!!
