anyone have a scanner? I keep hearing a helicopter and another teacher said they saw a cop car with their lights on circling campus

I keep hearing it too and it's not for the hospital, they don't circle over and over like this. Where is SMC Dispatcher?

Some info:
LEONARDTOWN, Md. - According to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office, a prisoner today escaped from their custody after being returned to the Detention Center shortly after being sentenced to five years in prison.

Deputies are currently looking for Paul Anthony Pitner (pictured above). Pitner was an inmate at the St. Mary's County Detention Center in the work release program. Pitner was taken to Court today where he was sentenced to five years in prison. Upon returning to the Detention Center to gather his belongings, he escaped from the housing unit.

Pitner is a white male weighing approximately 170 pounds, brown hair and green eyes. He has tattoos on his neck and back and is wearing a white tee shirt and jail issued striped pants. A "Code Red Alert" was sent to all effected Leonardtown residents, notifying them of the situation.

UPDATE 5:27 p.m.: Police just announced over police frequencies at 5:27 p.m. that the prisoner has been taken into custody. He was spotted by Trooper 7 (Maryland State Police (MSP) Helicopter) behind the CSM Leonardtown Campus.

I wish you could have seen the look on the trooper's face when he went to tell me about an escapee and I blurted out that we knew about it because of SOMD.COM and had been on the lookout for the past hour...:lol:

PSA... my latest McAfee update DOES NOT like thebaynet.com... it stops the site from loading and gives me a big ole red X saying the site is displaying characteristics of being a phishing site and it would prefer if I didn't go there. I won't be going there anymore...:coffee:

Wonder if they're still looking for him over here in Lusby? Cops are cruising the neighborhood in Drum Point, shining lights at houses, etc. :shrug:
