Im thinking about starting a daily or every other day posting of something postive...whether it be a quote...article...or even some personal thought questions...if anyone would like to join in and add something that found moving...and that you think with your whole heart, that it will help others...please post...i do have only one rule...Its gotta be positive! :)...now that doesnt mean that if your telling a story, and something negative happen you cant tell it...because i want you to be able to feel free but include in the story how through God or prayer or even just meditation of the Word something positive come about...so if you would like to get into this with me...please send me an email at Jchareco7@firehousemail.com or even jhare7@somd.net :) thanks

Good idea. I tried and found that the non believers will trash the thread and subvert the good. I hope your attempt works. :yay:

The power of positive thinking...

It is quite common to hear people say: "Think positive!", to someone who feels down and worried. Most people do not take these words seriously, as they do not know what they really mean, or do not consider them as useful and effective. How many people do you know, who stop to think what the power of positive thinking means?

The following story illustrates how this power works.
Allan applied for a new job, but as his self-esteem was low, and he considered himself as a failure and unworthy of success, he was sure that he was not going to get the job. He had a negative attitude towards himself, and believed that the other applicants were better and more qualified than him. Allan manifested this attitude, due to his negative past experiences with job interviews.

His mind was filled with negative thoughts and fears concerning the job for the whole week before the job interview. He was sure he would be rejected. On the day of the interview he got up late, and to his horror he discovered that the shirt he had planned to wear was dirty, and the other one needed ironing. As it was already too late, he went out wearing a shirt full of wrinkles.

During the interview he was tense, displayed a negative attitude, worried about his shirt, and felt hungry because he did not have enough time to eat breakfast. All this distracted his mind and made it difficult for him to focus on the interview. His overall behavior made a bad impression, and consequently he materialized his fear and did not get the job.

Jim applied for the same job too, but approached the matter in a different way. He was sure that he was going to get the job. During the week preceding the interview he often visualized himself making a good impression and getting the job.

In the evening before the interview he prepared the clothes he was going to wear, and went to sleep a little earlier. On day of the interview he woke up earlier than usual, and had ample time to eat breakfast, and then to arrive to the interview before the scheduled time.

He got the job because he made a good impression. Of course he had also the proper qualifications for the job, but so had Allan.

What do we learn from these two stories? Is there any magic employed here? No, it is all natural. When the attitude is positive we entertain pleasant feelings and constructive images, and see in our mind's eye what we really want to happen. This brings brightness to the eyes, more energy and happiness. The whole being broadcasts good will, happiness and success. Even the health is affected in a beneficial way. We walk tall and the voice is more powerful. Our body language shows the way you feel inside.

I have been praying for someone I hold dear for many years. Just a little over a week ago, we were talking. They told me that they had started reading the Bible and going to a Bible study. You have no idea how far this is from the person I started praying for. I told them that was an answer to my prayer and that I had been praying for them for a long time. They started crying, told me thank you, and told me they love me.

God does things in His time, but this, if you knew the situation you would agree, is a true miracle.

Everyone makes choices everyday.

Everyone makes choices everyday. What are you choosing? Today and every day is the best day of my life because:

I choose to make the most of every second of every day.

I choose to be happy regardless of the circumstances.

I choose to go the extra mile to brighten the day of those around me.

I choose to see only the good in things & people, and avoid dwelling on the negatives.

I choose to find solutions not problems!!

I choose to help the sick and poor, because they need our help. I choose to live free, in life and in spirit, so no cage could or ever will hold me.

I choose to fight for what's right, no matter the cost.

I choose to be the best, Mother, Father, Husband, Wife, Son, Daughter, Friend anyone could have.

I choose to be healthy, and not give in to laziness.

I choose to put in 200 percent in every thing I do.

I choose to expect victory and success; failure is not an option.

I choose to spread love even on those who may not deserve it.

I choose to see the glass half full, because it is!!

I choose to give back and be grateful for all my blessings.

I choose to fight the right fight and win.

I choose to not let others negative ideas or opinions affect my choices.

I choose to be who I always envisioned myself to be!

I choose these things because, I am lucky enough to be able to choose, grateful enough to use the opportunity, and wise enough to know the difference between choosing and letting the world choose for me!

Thanks, but it is not stress of work but interpersonal relationships and violation of trust.
