got a cd stuck in his Xbox. Can't find any screws to get it opened. Looks like you can snap the sides open but don't want break it anymore then it already is.

Anyone have any secrets they would like to share on how to get it opened?

Good question. My son had the same problem along with it blowin up or something. Dont ask how we got it open

This link has photos along with the disassembly instructions. You will need the torx screwdrivers though.

Xbox's have long had a problem with the cd tray failing to open. I sent mine back less then two weeks after buying it because of this. The worst part is, that if the xbox is over a year old, you have to pay a flat $99 to get microsoft to look at it. So, if you can't fix it yourself, you might as well get a new one. Or toss it and get an xbox 360.

Normally it's a virus that causes the cup holder to open and close..
