Mine is a biatch to steer. His is much lighter on the front end so it seems, but a 1200 vs. my 650. There is so much crap on the front of mine. I was turning the front end of both of them and his is easy-peasy. I ride the heavy betty girl. He gets a tomorrow.jaybeeztoo said:You go girl!!

My bike has a bunch of stuff on the front of it that makes it heavier than his. I just never compared the two. Never sat on his bike and moved the front end around and then compared it to mine. Big difference. Never figured a 1200 would be lighter in the front end than the 650.ItsGene said:Nevah evah tell a guy he is lighter in the front....
Might be the bearings in the front. Tapered roller bearings are the bearings of choice in some of the heavier bikes vs the ball bearings still found in some of the lighter bikes. Rake and trail, tire profile and the fact you want to ride the 1200 all may have an impact on your perception
Whatever you ride tomorrow, enjoy! It is 18 degrees and icy here in the pacific northwet!
Bummer, still in the 50's here, and just had a week-end in the 70's..ItsGene said:Nevah evah tell a guy he is lighter in the front....
