I always wonder if things like this are tacitly supported by the party at large (just not the vocal Maga folks). If the party isn't threatening to primary them, then they aren't really upsetting boat too much.

Joni Ernst is a part of the swamp. It's not just democrats, there are plenty of republicans in there as well. She needs to go. She thrives on eating your own to get ahead. She will probably succeed this time also. She shouldn't. No respect for her at all.

See, I remember when she was first elected. Seemed totally normal to me.

She's grown more antagonistic toward Trump, and IIRC she was favoring Haley in the primaries.

Maybe she SHOULD be primaried.

I don't even watch Trey Gowdy. He used to be so great and now he's just a tool. Watching him suck up to scumbags is more than I can tolerate.

Of course trump has a plan B he would be stupid not to have, but has DeSantis said he would take the job? IMO he would be stupid to do so.
I believe DeSantis has plans to be a Presidential candidate in the future. Why leave a job he is so successful at for a job that he could end up in a pickle as.
As for Ernst , Trump would be really dumb to even think of her as Secretary of Defense, he cannot trust her now why would he trust her later.

I don't want DeSantis as SecDef. Not sure a lawyer is the one to cleanup DOD. I also don't want some retired flag officer. Once you get up to O-6, playing the political game becomes a big part of your life if you want to advance.
