Same.
They say the AVERAGE donation is $501 dollars. That has morphed into HE gave $501 dollars. That may or may not be true, but it never stopped the media from inserting their own facts.
What I did find that he is the landlord of a woman with a child who is involved with the woman's aunt in a custody dispute (New York Post (1)). It sure sounds like a white knight situation gone bad.
Fabian Marta of Missouri was picked up by St. Louis police on July 21 and charged two days later with felony child kidnapping charges.

Even at the Missouri Courts website (a findlaw type site), there is scant information to go on.
If you look, though, he was arrested on a class A felony. And was subsequently OR'ed (as our leftist know, that means Own Recognizance).
Pretty strange to be OR'ed when the cash bond is 10% of $15,000.00; at least I think it is. You can find that under the Docket Entries tab.
Under Charges, Judgements, and Sentences tab, you can google
Felony A RSMo: 565.115, which is what he's charged with. Pick an entry that comes up. I picked this one:

"565.115. Child kidnapping — penalty. — 1. A person commits the offense of child kidnapping if he or she is not a relative of the child within the third degree and, knowing he or she has no right to do so, removes a child under the age of fourteen without consent of the child's parents or guardian, or confines such child for a substantial period of time without such consent.
2. In determining whether the child was removed or confined unlawfully, it is an affirmative defense that the person reasonably believed that the person's actions were necessary to preserve the child from danger to his or her welfare.
3. The offense of child kidnapping is a class A felony."
If I were a betting man, I'd bet that he picked the child up from school on behalf of the mother, and the aunt filed charges against him for "kidnapping." But that's just a wild-assed guess, pulled directly from my 4th point of contact. It's as good as, if not better than anything the media has come up with so far, in their rush to judgement. When did that become the media's job?
(1) Note that this is what appears when I google using DuckDuckGo as my search engine. It does not appear in the article itself. I did remove the link.
