Southern Calvert T-Ball

Does anyone have any contacts? I've tried to send e-mails to the "contact" on the webpage to no avail.

I really am interested in getting my son into some sports and I'm always a day late and a dollar short. So if I start looking into t-ball now maybe I'll make it for 2007.

Down here in the southern part of Calvert you have CNLL and SYB. CNLL is Calvert National Little league. They part of the little league organization. SYB is a Babe Ruth/ Cal Ripken organization. With SYB they change every two years of age From what I understand Little league change every three years I could be wrong on this but This was told to me by a coach on the little league Organization. I was a part of SYB for over 5 years and I am leaving SYB because of personal reasons. Not getting into that one. We are however going to look into CNLL.
Show there are two Leagues here it is just your choice on which one. With SYB that is a guy name Bob Portillo he is a nice guy. Bob is the President of the SYB league. www.syboptimist.com there is a link to contact them. I believe they start signing up around Feb/ March. for ball. Both leagues sign up at the same time and they happen to be in the same place as well. So if you want CNLL make sure you go to there table!!!! They have sign up at the Solomons fire hall.

I hope this is enough information for you.. Good thing is that you are coming in at an early age so if you do not like how one league runs you can move your child without any hassle. Like with my son next year is a whole new ball game for him. CNLL has no clue of his background in ball. For SYB he pitches, and he played on the travel team. So next year he coming into CNLL on a blank slate.. Good Luck!!!

Thank you so much for this information. I was able to finally get a return e-mail from someone in CNLL and he was very nice and informative. I think I'll start him off here and work from there. :yay:

For southern calvert T-ball. Sign up in March for SYB Baseball.

I was commissioner for T-ball for two years, and have coached T-ball and PM for 7 years. We started with CNLL with my daughter but switched over to SYB. We liked SYB because it was better organized, and had more teams to play. There was a time when CNLL was thinking about joining SYB because of the number of players issue.

Good to see you are getting ready to introduce your youngster to sports. My youngest daughter will be 4 in December. I have already bought her a batting hat, glove, equipment bag, and she is looking forward to T-ball in the Spring. I have a funny feeling I will be coaching again.

Well CNLL went and changed the cut-off. He must be 5 by April 30th to play T-ball and he'll be 5 on May 9th. So they are telling me he'll have to wait until he is 6. :banghead:
