Southern States food recall

Horse Journal just learned that horse feeds made by Southern States
Cooperative Milling's Gettysburg plant have been recalled for elevated
aflatoxin levels. The recall was issued on March 28, 2008, but posted
on the FDA web site on June 11. The recalled feeds are:

•Reliance Hay Stretcher Pellet, lot G8015

•Select 12P pelleted horse feed, lot G8018

CH SS only sells Reliance 11 pelleted. :confused: they said the 12P wasn't being made any more, they combined 10 & 12 to make 11.

Just call your local Southern States and they can determine if they got those lot #s in their facility for sale to the public. Usually before it goes full public it is already given to stores to check intentory.
