They are closing on 400 total launches, and will exceed 100 this year alone.

Space-X needs to get Starship and the v3 Starlink satellites into orbit. There is now a shortage of Starlink service and waitlists for purchase of the residential units and they can't deploy the v2 sats fast enough. The v3 sats will have 10x the capability/coverage as the v2.

I guess between overselling the service, deployments to disaster areas and the popularity (5 million current subscribers), they are running out of bandwidth.

Anyone here using Starlink? Do you like it?
I'm had mine for a few years. It's not cheap at $120/mo (residential stationary plan) but I have no complaints with service. It used to fade during very heavy rains, but between the orbits of the sats being lowered and an increase in the transmitter power recently, I rarely loose signal now.

Be aware that they are kind of oversold at the moment and depending on the area, you may be put on a wait list to get service. You can also buy the hardware from various outlets now, don't have to buy direct from Space-X.

Quick speed test. Not great numbers, but I'm on a laptop using WiFi, connected to a mesh router which is connected to the main router. Lots of places to slow down. There's also know congestion on the network due to to the overselling of resources.
